Berlin, (ANTARA News) - Striker Lukas Podolski Germany can not appear in the game World Cup qualifying in 2010 against Azerbaijan on Wednesday after suffering injuries during a light practice on this weekend, said a statement from the German football federation (DFB), Sunday.

Podolski also miss the match early in the season against Cologne, a 0-1 defeat by Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, after feeling pain in his leg muscle during a practice round last week.
